Valerie Sims

Valerie grew up in Leigh on Sea on the Thames estuary, but now lives in Ely on the Fens with the nearby Norfolk coast for inspiration.

The area is a reminder of her childhood primal landscape of water, birds, boats and wooden structures.

Her interest in ecology and the interconnectedness of all things in the natural world also plays a large part in her work.
