The Quayside - painting

This original coastal painting entitled ‘The Quayside’ by Tracy McKenna was painted on location (en plein air) on the little quay at Cemaes on the north coast of the Isle of Anglesey.

Anglesey is an island in Wales, situated just off the mainland's northwest coast.

Born in Cyprus, Tracy grew up in a northern mill town on the edge of the Pennines. She studied Art and Design at Nelson and Colne College and then moved on to the Arts University at Bournemouth where she graduated with a BA (Hons) and a High Commendation from the RSA. 

Since then she has qualified as a teacher of Art and Design.

Inspiration is never far away as she recently moved to Penryn in Cornwall to be closer to the sea, one of her favourite subjects to paint, and now has a new purpose studio in which to work.

This original work is painted in oils on canvas board and is framed in a simple unglazed white wooden tray frame ready to hang.
