The Oyster Shack | Original Coastal Painting | Tracy McKenna

The Oyster Shack – painting

£100.00
Description
This original coastal painting by Tracy McKenna is simply entitled ‘The Oyster Shack‘.

The scene was painted on location (en plein air) on the little island of Ile d'Oleron just off the French Atlantic coast near La Rochelle.

The sun had bleached the many layers of paint on the old shack and all around discarded, broken oyster shells reflected the sunny, salty atmosphere of the muddy oyster beds.

Born in Cyprus, Tracy grew up in a northern mill town on the edge of the Pennines. She studied Art and Design at Nelson and Colne College and then moved on to the Arts University at Bournemouth where she graduated with a BA (Hons) and a High Commendation from the RSA.

Since then she has qualified as a teacher of Art and Design.

Inspiration is never far away as the Wirral Peninsular is only minutes from her small bright home studio.

This original work is painted in oils on canvas board and is framed in a simple unglazed white satin tray frame ready to hang.

Framed Size: 26.5 x 26.5 cm (10.5x10.5”)
