Summer in Tankerton – Coastal Card

This charming coastal card by artist Nick Kelly depicts beach goers at the height of summer on Tankerton beach in Whitstable, Kent.

Tankerton has a long shingle beach and wooden groynes which are so typical of British beaches.  At low tide there is a stretch of stones that appears which is known locally as ‘The Street’ and is the perfect place for a peaceful stroll. 

Whitstable is a seaside town on the north coast of Kent, famous for its oysters and its oyster festival held each summer.

The high-quality printed card has a light textured surface and is taken from an original acrylic painting.

Growing up in Whitstable Nick’s always had a fondness for the sea, he spent many years travelling and working in the Middle East, but in later years he’s settled back in Whitstable where he now paints and writes.
