The print is taken from one of Nel’s original pastel painting, a medium perfectly suited to her delicate handling of colour and ability to create soft, atmospheric transitions between sea, sky and sand.

Nel is a Yorkshire-based artist who has been painting professionally for over 40 years. Her love of the sea has taken her to some of Britain’s most beautiful coastlines, from the far north of Scotland and the Outer Hebrides to Cornwall, inspiring her evocative paintings of the sea. Alongside her seascapes, She is also renowned for her beautiful paintings of plants and flowers.

A regular exhibitor at the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show, where her stand received multiple five-star awards. Since 2019, she has worked from her studio at Sunny Bank Mills, a converted woollen mill in Yorkshire and filming location for The Great British Sewing Bee. She affectionately describes it as her ‘studio heaven’.

This high-quality print is produced on fine art paper and features a white border of approximately 1.5–2cm, depending on the print size. The original artwork measured 70cm x 70cm, while the print is available in a range of sizes to suit different spaces and budgets.
