Silver Wave Pendant Necklace
This simple silver wave pendant necklace would be a lovely reminder of the coast for sea lovers everywhere.
Individually handmade by Tia Rolfe of Selkie Jewellery, the piece is one of her signature designs using a cuttlefish casting technique to produce the rippling effect of the waves.
Cuttlefish bones washed up on local beaches are used to create a cast for each piece and in doing so the process leaves its distinctive lined texture on every item, making each one naturally unique!
Due to this process each may vary slightly in size, weight, and lined texture.
Tia is an artist and trained Jeweller; she studied Silversmithing, goldsmithing and jewellery making at The Kent Institute of Art and Design in Rochester.
Together with a passion for the sea and inspired by the mysterious world of Selkies, she hand makes jewellery for ocean lovers around the world!
In folklore Selkies are mythological seal-like creatures that would swim ashore and were capable of shedding their skin and taking human form.
Each piece of jewellery is lovingly handcrafted on the South coast, in her little shed by the sea.
Made from 925 sterling silver, the necklace is supplied with an 18” sterling silver trace chain.
The item is presented in a hand printed fabric pouch tied with a jute bow and to make it extra special there’s a fun colouring Selkie postcard included.
Handmade in the UK.
