Shorescape – Mosaic
£80.00
Description
This contemporary mosaic art work by Marcus Jubb is entitled Shorescape.
The mosaic is made using shells, beach pebbles and driftwood to convey the scene, whilst shards of mirrored glass give an ever changing perspective, creating a unique, dynamic art piece using an ancient art form.
For as long as I can remember I have been draw to that wonderful creative processes that brings art to life says Marcus.
I studied art at the West Sussex College of Art and Design; which was an amazing opportunity giving me a solid foundation of artistic skills in a variety of disciplines.
However, it wasn’t until I visited the Roman remains at Lopen in Somerset that my artistic direction took a completely new turn.
The breathtaking mosaics I saw there, vibrant in their colour after more than a thousand years inspired me to create my own mosaic forms.
