Selkie Seal Jewellery Collection
‘Selkie’ is the local dialect word for ‘Seal’ in the Orkney Islands, where they are often seen near the shore, their heads bobbing just above the water.
This stylish and different jewellery collection is a wonderful depiction of these beautiful sea creatures.
In mythological folklore ‘Selkies’ are seal-like creatures that would swim ashore, shed their skins and take on human form.
The collection includes necklaces, bracelets, a brooch and earrings, all beautifully handmade by Tia Rolfe of Selkie Jewellery.
Tia is an artist and trained Jeweller; she studied Silversmithing, goldsmithing and jewellery making at The Kent Institute of Art and Design in Rochester.
Together with a passion for the sea and inspired by the mysterious world of Selkies, she hand makes jewellery for ocean lovers around the world!
