Seatown, Dorset – painting

This original painting by Marcus Jubb reveals in intricate detail a stretch of the shingle beach at Seatown in Dorset.

The small coastal hamlet of Seatown is located just along the coast from Lyme Regis and forms part of the Jurassic Coast, a world heritage site that stretches for 96 miles.

For as long as I can remember I have been draw to that wonderful creative processes that brings art to life says Marcus.

Enchanted by all the sea offers up, Somerset based artist Marcus largely produces decorative mosaic pictures and paintings, his mosaic creations in particular are unique, dynamic and contemporary pieces that uses an ancient art form to evoke the feelings and emotions of amazing coastal locations.

I studied art at the West Sussex College of Art and Design; which was an amazing opportunity giving me a solid foundation of artistic skills in a variety of disciplines.

This original work is painted in acrylic on board and is framed ready for hanging
