Seal at Pittenweem – Print

This colourful limited edition art print by Louise Stocker depicts local celebrity Sammy the Seal, basking on a rock at the picturesque harbour in Pittenweem. 

The iconic house in the background is called the Gyles and dates back to 1626, it was formally the Sea Captain's home.

With a rich past and oodles of charm, Pittenweem is renowned for its yearly Pittenweem Arts Festival. Come summer, the cobbled streets and winding alleys are abuzz with countless, enchanted visitors. The bustling harbour is brimming with vibrant, colourful boats and Sammy often stops by, eagerly awaiting treats from the local fishermen!

The charming print is taken from an original watercolour, ink and coloured pencil illustration and would look lovely in any settings.

Louise lives in the tiny little fishing village of Cellardyke having moved there in 2015 to fulfil a lifelong dream to live by the sea with its stunning scenery and slower pace of life.

Inspiration is never far away with its picture-postcard villages, its glorious sandy beaches, wildlife and craggy coves of this unspoilt little corner or ‘nook’ of Scotland.

Each giclée print is reproduced using the highest quality inks on Somerset 255gsm paper to ensure the print will remain vibrant for over 100 years. The paper has a beautiful texture that makes it barely distinguishable from the original watercolour painting.

The limited edition is of 200 with each being signed by the artist.

The print is available as an unframed mounted print or fully framed and ready to hang, in either a black, white, oak effect or rustic washed frame. The white & oak effect frames also come with a stand so the picture can be freestanding if required.
