Sea Otter – A4 Print

This charming A4 print of a friendly Sea Otter is by Jo Thearle.

The sea otter is currently classified as an endangered species. At one time their numbers were in excess of 150-300 thousand,  but due to extensive hunting for their fur the world population has fallen to little more than 1 thousand individuals, thoise this is improving in some areas.

While floating on their backs, sea otters not only nap, but also use rocks to help them open mussels or other shellfish. Otters place a rock on their chests and smash the shellfish against it until it breaks open to reveal its contents.

Jo loves nothing more than spending time at the coast and fortunately living in Devon the seaside and lots of inspiration is never far away.

Her designs begin as sketches, scribbles, and photographs which are developed and digitally perfected on the computer.

Printed on A4 high quality semi-gloss inkjet paper with a white border.

Some photos demonstrate how lovely the print would look framed, but please note that they are sold unframed and without a mount.
