Screw Shell - Pack
Screw shells with their tightly coiled shells are quite a distinctive species and are popular among collectors.
Other than simple display, their easy natural symmetry makes them suitable for a number of craft projects.
In the past they have been used to create intricate shell pictures known as sailor’s valentines and to decorate everything from mirrors frames to table tops.
The Turritellidae family of shells to which the screw shell belongs are vegetarian and live in offshore waters in coarse sand or mud.
Screw shells (turritella terebra) are a common species among the waters of the Indo Pacific.
Sold in packs weighing 100g.
Each pack contains approximately 20-25 shells dependant on size.
