For Nel, the sea has been a lifelong fascination. Her love of the coast began in childhood, influenced by her father, who was a keen sailor and ensured that family holidays regularly involved boats and the sea. Over the years, this early connection has developed into a passion for painting the coast in all its different moods.

A Yorkshire-based artist, Nel has been painting professionally for over 40 years and works predominantly in pastels and oils. She has travelled extensively around the UK in search of inspiration, painting coastlines from the far north of Scotland and the Outer Hebrides to Cornwall and the south coast of England.

This high-quality print is produced on fine art paper and features a white border of approximately 1.5–2cm, depending on the print size. The original artwork measured 70cm x 70cm, while the print is available in a range of sizes to suit different spaces and budgets.
