Sailing Ships Linen Cushion - Long

The original design of this hand printed sailing ships linen cushion has been beautifully created by print maker Jill Pargeter.

The design which includes the words “sailing off into the sunset” was inspired by some old nautical maps that Jill found whilst rummaging in a second hand bookshop.

The generous feather filled cushions are made from quality natural linen and hand printed with indigo coloured ink. The backing is indigo coloured linen and the opening is closed with a simple concealed zip fastening

Jill has been a designer and print maker for over 30 years, since studying printed textiles at Manchester Polytechnic. Inspired by both folk art and the Arts & Crafts movement she combines her love of history, nature and poetic verse in her creations.

Each of her original designs is hand drawn before being screen printed onto fabrics and panels to produce a range of beautiful decorative objects for the home.
