This large rustic looking shell mirror by Petya Bates is decorated with a range of pretty seashells that perfectly emphasises the uniqueness of nature.

The oyster shells in particular are predominantly off-white in colour with beautiful violet-purple streaks, whilst the insides offer a lustrous pearlescence. All the shells are natural and have been collected from local beaches.

“In the last three years I’ve had some challenging periods in my life,” says Petya and “walks by the sea have helped me tremendously to get through”.

Each time I couldn’t resist picking up the beautiful shells until one day I realised that I had collected so many wonderful memories in my box that I decided to share those memories with my family and friends by creating some beautiful mirrors.
