Description
Puffins with their unmistakable look are often called “clowns of the sea” it’s perhaps not surprising that a group is also know a circus of puffins.
This original limited edition linocut print by Richard Juniper has really captured the nature of these comical sea birds.
With simple clean flowing lines his carefully considered design captures them beautifully.
A linocut is a printmaking technique similar to that of the woodcut. The image is carved into a block of hessian covered by a thick piece of linoleum and then inked and pressed on paper to create a print.
Each one of these limited edition prints is an original work of art and is technically known as an impression as each is unique and may vary slightly.
They are individually hand printed on 140gsm acid-free white cartridge paper using black and red inks and mounted in acid-free mount board with a fine line border.
The print is supplied framed within a simple, elegant black wood frame ready for hanging.
Each print is signed and numbered in pencil by the artist in his studio.
