The Fulgen belongs to the Haliotidae family of shells that include abalones, ornmers and sea ears and number in excess of 100 species.

Most are edible rock dwelling shells and can be found in both shallow and deeper waters worldwide.

Common in waters stretching from California to Mexico.

These shells are natural products, so may have acquired some minor flaws and blemishes as part of their unique character and charm. Just like us, they have lived a life and their imperfections tell a story.
