Penguin Oyster Shell

Shimmering mother of pearl makes an appearance on the rich back surface of these stunning Pteria Penguin wing oyster shells, refracting light between pinks and beautiful shades of blue green.

The oyster shells reveal an amazing array of glistening colours once they have been polished, this version has also been enhanced with the addition of carved grooves running its length rather like cut glass.

The inner creamy surface is rich with beautiful mother of pearl.

The Penguin oyster belongs to the large family of pteriidae shells which live in tropical waters; this particular species is common to Indo Pacific waters.
