The Noble Volute shell (cymbiola noblis) has a light background colour of pale creamy peach overlaid with a pattern resembling that of hills and mountains along its length.
This thick heavy sea shell varies in pattern and has been lightly polished for display purposes.
A large and well know family of shell species the volutidae are very popular with collectors, due to the wide variety of pattern and colour
They occupy worldwide seas with the warmer water species being the more colourful and attractive.
Common to Taiwan to Singapore waters.
