Nicobar Spindle Shell

Nicobar Spindle seashells are rather elegant creations with spiral ridges that follow their length.

One is almost reminded of Mr Whippy ice cream topped with chocolate sauce when viewed from above, its delicate brown markings adding to the delicious shape of this seashell.

The version we have here (Fusinus Nicobaricus) is common to Japanese waters and can be found mostly in shallow tropical seas.
