Coastal Mussel shells feature in this original limited edition linocut print by artist Richard Juniper.
The most common Blue or European mussels have sleek, shiny shells, are good to look at and equally good to taste.
Classic monochrome black and white art prints beautifully lend themselves to a number of different interior settings.
A linocut is a printmaking technique similar to that of the woodcut. The image is carved into a block of hessian covered by a thick piece of linoleum and then inked and pressed on paper to create a print.
Each one of these limited edition prints is an original work of art and is technically known as an impression as each is unique and vary slightly.
They are individually hand printed on 140gsm acid-free white cartridge paper and mounted in acid-free mount board with a fine line border.
The print is supplied framed within a simple, elegant black wood frame ready for hanging.
Each print is signed and numbered in pencil by the artist in his studio.
