Melon Shell - Large

Perfect for large displays and popular with collectors, the melon shell has a distinctive crown of spines that circles around the apex of the shell and adds an interesting point of focus.

Colours can range between cream and browns.

Belonging to the large volutidae family, they occupy worldwide seas with the melon shell species (sometimes know as a crowned Baler Shell) being common to the Southwest Pacific in particular.
