Maze - Fish Art Sculpture
This cleverly designed Fish Art Sculpture by Laurence Henry appeals on so many levels and would be greatly appreciated by any coastal lover.
The piece includes a maze like design incorporating metal coastal finds, a little blue fish and a wonderfully encrusted fish head design with a copper eye on the reverse.
Full of texture and pattern the fish has a copper verdigris tail and hangs from a fish lure made from glass, copper and coloured wooden beads.
Sure to find a home on any wall, the fish could also be suspended from a thread to display both sides at once while gently spinning.
Created on a driftwood find, Laurence uses a variety of techniques to create interesting textural relief designs on his highly desirable coastal art works.
Laurence has worked as a freelance artist to Liberty, Parker Knoll, Habitat and Gallery Five, before eventually taking full time employment with the BBC as a graphic designer illustrating material for Play School and Jackanory.
His work is currently exhibited at various galleries around the country.
As a display idea, try suspending a few of Laurence’s fish together in a shoal to create a truly inspiring piece for greater impact.
A unique and individual piece of coastal art.
