Macca print

£38.00
Description
The inspiration for this print entitled Macca originally after visiting local seafood markets in France.

Mackerel wrapped in newspaper was the start says artist Tracy McKenna, so I scoured the headlines and sub headlines for quirky little phrases which I could then add to the work.

I wanted to give it a feel of eccentricity hoping to capture our love of fish and chips at the seaside with a good read of the tabloids whilst sitting on the beach.

Born in Cyprus in 1971, Tracy grew up in a northern mill town on the edge of the Pennines. She studied Art and Design at Nelson and Colne College and then moved on to the Arts University at Bournemouth where she graduated with a BA (Hons) and a High Commendation from the RSA.  Since then she has qualified as a teacher of Art and Design.

Working from her small bright home studio, the Wirral Peninsular is only minutes away should she ever get stuck for inspiration.
