John Harvey Table Lamp

Description
With its simple clean lines the John Harvey table lamp would sit comfortably within any coastal setting.

Its pleasing design has industrial overtones and is made from lightly patinated zinc sheeting and lime waxed oak by David Raine.

The lamp is named after the enterprising blacksmith and engineer who established a foundry and engineering works at Hayle in West Cornwall in 1779.

Other than ships, Harvey produced a range of products, but most notably built up a reputation for world class beam engines designed to pump water out of the deep Cornish tin and copper mines.

Each lamp is individually made and hand finished,  “I like to hold things, stones, shells, letting different types of sand flow through my fingers” says David, “to let elements flow together, playing with expectation in creating the essence of the shoreline in each of my products for the home”.

Due to the handmade nature and materials used, each lamp will have a varying pattern of zinc pieces. The lamp has a stainless steel stem and is sold complete with shade.

Please note: Each lamp is individually created to order, please allow 14-21 days for delivery.
