Jade Turbo Shell

This striking natural shell of marine greens, speckled with white and tawny browns has been lightly polished.

Turbo shells (turbininae) are a large family of some several hundred species.

Most dwell in the shallow waters of warm tropical seas.

The green jade turbo is the largest of the species and is largely used in the mother of pearl industry.

Common to the Indian Ocean.
