Heurs Hut– Framed Linocut Print
This original linocut print by Sarah Raybould depicts ‘Heurs Hut’ which is a familiar landmark on the headland in Newquay Cornwall, overlooking the beautiful beaches and harbour.
The print shows the 14th century lookout on a warm summer’s day with blue skies, coastal flowers and bright sunshine on its whitewashed walls.
Having always lived within a seagull’s cry of the sea, the coast has constantly been a place of contemplation, inspiration and inner peace for Sarah.
A self taught artist, she moved to Newquay in Cornwall from the East Yorkshire coast five years ago.
With a great love of the outdoors, be it mountains, forests or the sea, walking, swimming or just thoughtfully sitting, she loves the feelings nature gives us.
I like to work in Linocut and all my works are hand carved and hand printed she says, I also produce work in mono print, collergraphs, woodcut and cyanotypes.
Each one of these individually hand printed, open edition prints is an original work of art and is technically known as an impression.
The prints are supplied ready framed in a classic glass fronted white wood frame ready for hanging.
Printed onto Fabriano printmaking paper, each is titled and signed by the artist.
