Herring Shoal Fish Sculpture

Each fish is individually hand-carved, with finely detailed scales that enhance its natural look.

Mounted on slender aluminium rods and set into a lime-waxed wooden base reminiscent of driftwood washed ashore, the six herrings appear to glide together in graceful formation, capturing the fluid movement of a shoal in the sea.

Intended for interior display, each Herring shoal has been skilfully hand carved by village craftsmen on the island of Bali in Indonesia. 

They are produced under fair trading conditions to benefit the village community as well as the producer and have been painted using lead free paints and local replaceable softwood.

Due to the handmade and painted nature of this product and base, there may be slight variations in colour and distressing from the images shown as each has its own individual character.
