Hermit Crab

A decorative and rather charming hermit crab fashioned from painted wood and tin.

This little fellow is sure to lend a coastal feel to any seaside inspired home. 

The habit of living within second hand shells gave rise to the popular name "hermit crab" which is a reference to the idea of a hermit living alone in a small cave. As the crab grows they swap and salvage larger shells for shelter and protection.
