Description
With its simple rustic design and weather worn appearance, this individually handmade driftwood cabinet by Julia Horberry is sure to bring the sea a little closer.
The cupboard door features a design incorporating cross cut slices of driftwood set within a frame which is housed within a driftwood carcase.
The interior has a single shelf and is closed with a simple gnarled handle.
Based in Cornwall in Porthtowan just minutes from the beach, Julia spends hours scouring the beaches and climbing the cliffs to reach hidden coves to collect items for her driftwood creations.
As you might expect her little workshop is made from all sorts of bit and bobs and it’s here between drinking coffee and looking out across the sea she makes each of her unique furniture pieces.
Although the design of each cabinet closely follows that of the images shown, there will be variations due to the individual character of the driftwood used.
Each driftwood creation is individually signed by the maker.
