Driftwood Fish Wall Hanging
This unique handcrafted Driftwood Fish Wall Hanging has been carefully made by driftwood artist Rachel White.
It features a seashell eye, scallop shell fins, together with other shoreline finds including a barnacle and a belemnite fossil.
Rachel is a driftwood and strandline artist living in Weymouth with her husband, a retired seaman, just a mile from the sea.
Made in her workshop studio, she sources her materials from local beaches and bays along the Jurassic Coast.
Her signature driftwood artwork often includes tiny interwoven found objects to add interest to her pieces, such as sea glass, small shells and on occasion finds such as beach pottery fragments, fossils or beach metal.
Rachel’s work is regularly exhibited at various galleries across the southwest and recently one of her creations was selected to dress the kitchen set of ‘Ainsley’s Good Mood Food' currently seen on ITV' at the moment, every Saturday morning.
The images show the actual item to be dispatched.
The piece is numbered and signed by the artist and bears a handwritten strung tag describing its provenance.
