Driftwood Fish No:38
Driftwood fish No: 38 is a wonderfully realised creation finished with copper stud eyes and encrusted blue green copper tail.
The double sided design by Laurence Henry features a copper spiral and starfish on one side, whilst the reverse reveals a simpler fish.
As a hanging suggestion, simply suspend the fish from a thread so it gently spins on the breeze displaying both sides at once.
Created upon a driftwood find, Laurence uses a variety of techniques incorporating complex relief designs full of pattern and texture to create his highly desirable works of coastal art.
He has worked as a freelance artist to Liberty, Parker Knoll, Habitat and Gallery Five, before eventually taking full time employment with the BBC as a graphic designer illustrating material for Play School and Jackanory.
Since his early retirement in 1999, he has been able to concentrate on his artwork, which has always been an important focus to his creativity.
His work is currently exhibited at various galleries around the country.
A unique and individual piece of coastal art.
