Driftwood Creel – Table Uplighter Lamp

Sun bleached driftwood twigs sculptured into smooth tactile shapes by the sea are arranged in a crown like arrangement around a bulb for this driftwood Creel table uplighter lamp.

Artistically arranged and sitting upon a heavy wooden base made from round driftwood slices, the lamp is fitted with a powerful LED which casts lovely shadows through the overlapping strips of handmade paper with its warm glow.

For artist David Holmes the fascination and interest has never wavered for driftwood since combing the beaches of Pembrokeshire and Cornwall from an early age.

The special qualities of each find, its inherent texture, shape and colour have all helped to inspire each of his handmade designs in creating natural products that evokes memories of the seashore.
