Description
Circular cross cut slices of driftwood are used to great effect in this original chest of drawers by Julia Horberry.
Created using naturally sea worn pieces of driftwood, this unique and individual piece of furniture is sure to make the perfect addition to any coastal themed room with its simple weather worn appearance.
Housed within a distressed and painted wooden carcase the chest sits upon driftwood feet,
Based in Cornwall in Porthtowan just minutes from the beach, Julia spends hours scouring the beaches and climbing the cliffs to reach hidden coves to collect items for her driftwood creations.
As you might expect her little workshop is made from all sorts of bit and bobs and its here between drinking coffee and looking out across the sea she makes each of her unique furniture pieces.
Although the design of each chest of drawers closely follows that of the images shown, there will be variations due to the individual character of the driftwood used.
Each driftwood creation is individually signed by the maker.
