Cow Bar - painting

Experience the allure of the North Yorkshire coast with this delightful painting entitled- "Cow Bar" by Tracy McKenna.

The piece showcases the well-known cliff of the same name, located north of Staithes village.

Created by Tracy the work was painted  en plein air from the beach during her stay in Staithes with a group of fellow artists. Since the 1800s, artists have been drawn to this picturesque village for its stunning landscape and the annual arts festival is held there.

Born in Cyprus, Tracy grew up in a northern mill town on the edge of the Pennines. She studied Art and Design at Nelson and Colne College and then moved on to the Arts University at Bournemouth where she graduated with a BA (Hons) and a High Commendation from the RSA. 

Since then she has qualified as a teacher of Art and Design.

Inspiration is never far away as she recently moved to Penryn in Cornwall to be closer to the sea, one of her favourite subjects to paint, and now has a new purpose studio in which to work.

This original work is painted in acrylic on canvas board and comes in a simple white wash finished wooden floating tray frame without glass, ready to be displayed.
