Colourful Pectin Scallops
£1.25
Description
These colourful, small and perfectly formed double sided Pectin Scallop shells are totally natural.
Found in all of the world's oceans, scallops belong to a very large family of several hundred species of mostly colourful and attractive shells.
The species are free-swimming and move by flapping their valves together, butterfly-like. Scallop shells can be smooth, ridged or scaly, but all have the characteristic and well known fan shape.
Pectin scallops are commonly found in waters stretching from South Eastern USA to Brazil.
Sold individually, each shell is a matching pair (joined front & back) and are available in a choice of natural colours and hues.
Size: 5-7cm
