Cemeas Bay - painting

Cemeas Bay is a stunning oil painting by Tracy Mckenna, capturing the essence of a serene summers day at the quayside.

Cemaes is a fishing port and tourist resort on the north coast of Anglesey in Wales and is known for its beach and beautiful sheltered natural harbour.

Created en plein air, the beautiful play of light on the water of the bay and the leisurely sway of boats are skilfully brought to life.

Born in Cyprus, Tracy grew up in a northern mill town on the edge of the Pennines. She studied Art and Design at Nelson and Colne College and then moved on to the Arts University at Bournemouth where she graduated with a BA (Hons) and a High Commendation from the RSA. 

Since then she has qualified as a teacher of Art and Design.

Inspiration is never far away as she recently moved to Penryn in Cornwall to be closer to the sea, one of her favourite subjects to paint, and now has a new purpose studio in which to work.

This original work is painted in oil on canvas board and comes in a simple white tray frame without glass, ready to be displayed.
