Castaway Driftwood Picture Frame

Description
We couldn’t help but remember the classic BBC series ‘The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe’ when this Castaway Driftwood Picture Frame arrived.

If you grew up in Britain in the 1960′s and 70′s then you probably remember the series which ran between 1965 and the early 1980′s for three successive generations of children.

Its perhaps best remembered for the haunting theme music ......da da da dahh.....da dah.....

Takes you back doesn’t it, sitting cross legged on the floor, plate of jam sandwiches in your lap, soaking up the adventure of survival on an unknown desert island with Man Friday, Dick the dog, a herd of goats and a parrot for company.

Bring a little bit of desert island style to your bathroom with this beautifully handmade driftwood mirror by Julia Horberry.

Based in Cornwall in Porthtowan just minutes from the beach, Julia spends hours scouring the beaches and climbing the cliffs to reach hidden coves to collect items for her driftwood creations.

As you might expect her little workshop is made from all sorts of bit and bobs and it’s here between drinking coffee and looking out across the sea she makes each of her unique furniture pieces.
