Bursa Rubeta Shell
£2.45
Description
The Bursa Rubeta shell is a species of sea snail and has a rather lovely orange colouring and is occasionally known as a Ruddy Frog Shell.
This perhaps is not so surprising with its colour and knobbly surface resembling that of a warty skinned frog.
The opening of the shell has delicate ribbing leading through to an apricot and white interior.
The species belongs to the Bursidae family of shells who mostly live among warm shallow waters under rocks or corals, feeding on marine worms.
The Bursa Rubeta (Tutufa Rubeta) is a common shell among the waters of the Indo Pacific.
Size: approx 8-10 cm
