Boats IV – Fine Art Print

This colourful fine art print is the fourth in a series of original mixed media boat paintings by the talented artist David Raine depicting traditional Breton Chasse-Maree sailing boats.

While participating in the parade of sail in Douarnenez, Brittany, aboard the 153-foot barque named Kaskelot, David was struck with inspiration for his "Boats" series.

The prestigious maritime festival draws participants from all corners of the globe, showcasing a diverse array of traditional sailing vessels against a backdrop of sparkling turquoise waters.

Through his unique artistic style, David skilfully conveys the energy, excitement, and sheer awe of sailing. To him, it is a magical experience unlike any other.

With a lifetime of sailing experience, from Arab dhows to square rigged brigantines and barques, he has mastered the art of capturing the essence of these majestic vessels.

From braving gale-force winds while reefed and hard braced, to peacefully gliding through calm waters at twilight, David's paintings beautifully depict the adrenaline-pumping and contemplative aspects of sailing.

His "Boats" series exudes a sense of wonder and other-worldly charm, influenced by his years of experience as a movie marine art director and unique perspective on the world.

Printed on premium matte coated paper, using the quality Epsom inks. Each print is carefully wrapped and dispatched in a cardboard tube for protection during transit.
