Boats IV – A2 Fine Art Print

This colourful limited edition A2 sized fine art print is the fourth in a series of original mixed media boat paintings by the talented artist David Raine depicting traditional Breton Chasse-Maree sailing boats.

While participating in the parade of sail in Douarnenez, Brittany, aboard the 153-foot barque named Kaskelot, David was struck with inspiration for his "Boats" series.

The prestigious maritime festival draws participants from all corners of the globe, showcasing a diverse array of traditional sailing vessels against a backdrop of sparkling turquoise waters.

Through his unique artistic style, David skilfully conveys the energy, excitement, and sheer awe of sailing. To him, it is a magical experience unlike any other.

With a lifetime of sailing experience, from Arab dhows to square rigged brigantines and barques, he has mastered the art of capturing the essence of these majestic vessels.

From braving gale-force winds while reefed and hard braced, to peacefully gliding through calm waters at twilight, David's paintings beautifully depict the adrenaline-pumping and contemplative aspects of sailing.

His "Boats" series exudes a sense of wonder and other-worldly charm, influenced by his years of experience as a movie marine art director and unique perspective on the world.

Printed on heavy 350gsm Hahnemuhle Museum Etching paper, using the highest quality Epsom Ultrachrome HDX inks, each print is supplied with a signed certificate of authenticity.

Each print is carefully wrapped and dispatched in a cardboard tube for protection during transit.
