Best View on the Island - painting
£100.00
Description
This original coastal painting by Tracy McKenna is entitled ‘Best View on the Island‘.
The scene which was painted on location (en plein air) on the Isle of Anglesey, looks out from the rear of the coastguards cottages that face towards Puffin Island and the famous black and white Penmon lighthouse situated in the Menai Straights.
Born in Cyprus, Tracy grew up in a northern mill town on the edge of the Pennines. She studied Art and Design at Nelson and Colne College and then moved on to the Arts University at Bournemouth where she graduated with a BA (Hons) and a High Commendation from the RSA.
Since then she has qualified as a teacher of Art and Design.
Inspiration is never far away as the Wirral Peninsular is only minutes from her small bright home studio.
This original work is painted in oils on canvas board and is framed in a simple unglazed white satin tray frame ready to hang.
Framed Size: 30 x 25 cm (12x10”)
