Description
With sailboats vying for position in the distance, this original painting by artist Stuart Roy is simply entitled Beach and Sea.
The sweeping seascape is painted in strong colours using thick acrylics which allow the brush strokes to show and add a real depth to this original signed artwork.
Living in Norfolk the pace of life seems so different it’s perhaps not surprising that this is reflected in Stuart’s work.
Although big skies, wide sands and the unique lighting of the Norfolk coast may seem descriptive clichés at times, it is this and the very landscapes of the area that inspire Stuart in many of his paintings.
He studied fine art whilst at university in Wales, but quickly became involved in photography on a professional level. When he eventually settled in Suffolk and subsequently Norfolk the move re-ignited his interest in painting.
As an artist he is constantly developing his personal style and exploring new ways of creating work to capture the atmosphere and the colour of a scene.
His work is shown in many galleries around the country.
The work is painted in acrylics on canvas board and is framed in a deep brown wooden frame, ready for hanging.
