Bass Rock, Scotland - Art Print

This beautiful coastal art print by Fiona Horan shows the small island of Bass Rock off the coast of southern Scotland.

Bass Rock is a nature reserve and home to the largest colony of gannets in the world! It is now uninhabited but surprisingly has a colorful history. The ruined castle on the Rock once entertained Scottish royalty. Later some seaborne renegades from justice held out here for several years, aided by the French.

The lighthouse is now automated. There is also a tiny ruined chapel on the island, which can be seen in the picture.

Fiona lives on the South Coast of England now, a short walk from the coast in the historic and atmospheric town of Hastings.

Each digital print is individually signed by the artist and sent in a cello bag with cardboard backing for protection during delivery.
