All Calm – painting

Experience the tranquillity and calm of a blistering hot summer’s day perfect for a swim with this painting by Tracy Mckenna.

The piece entitled ‘All Calm’ was painted ‘en plein air’ on the Atlantic coast in France where a lighthouse stands elegantly in the sunshine.

Born in Cyprus, Tracy grew up in a northern mill town on the edge of the Pennines. She studied Art and Design at Nelson and Colne College and then moved on to the Arts University at Bournemouth where she graduated with a BA (Hons) and a High Commendation from the RSA. 

Since then she has qualified as a teacher of Art and Design.

Inspiration is never far away as she recently moved to Penryn in Cornwall to be closer to the sea, one of her favourite subjects to paint, and now has a new purpose studio in which to work.

This original work is painted in oils on canvas board and comes in a simple white wash finished wooden floating tray frame without glass, ready to be displayed.
